Hands on Training in Montessori methodology.

SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pettavaithalai, recently hosted a Montessori training program at the request of Sri Guru Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Manaparai. The session was led by senior teacher Miss. Janathamani and a team of experienced educators, who had earlier been trained with the support of OFI by a Montessori expert from Bangalore. Drawing on their expertise, they introduced participants to the core principles of Montessori education — child-centered learning, thoughtfully prepared environments, hands-on materials, freedom within limits, mixed-age collaboration, holistic development, observation-based teaching, and practical life skills. Through engaging activities and reflective guidance, teachers were equipped with strategies to nurture independence, curiosity, and confidence, empowering children to experience learning as a joyful and self-motivated journey.🙋Govin
