Colourful cultural events marking independence day 2014

Colourful cultural events by students of SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary school marked the Independence Day programme in this school in Trichy District. The programs were held in the school premises. School Principal Mrs.P.Chitra hoisted the national flag and inspected the guard of honour and inspected the school students march past.

 Head Mistress Mrs.Chitra appreciated the cultural events exhibited by school pupils and spoke on this occasion, “Our cultural programme at SEVAI Shanthi Matric.Higher Secondary School is integral to school; an essential part of a holistic education immersing children in activities that strongly develops creativity and confidence. Many a child discovers with delight hidden talents and their lives change forever and for the better. We ensure that our children are able to experience all facets of the cultural activities offered to school children. This develops in children an understanding of the flow of knowledge, the disciplined approach in ensuring that one achieves a set goal and most of all that learning is fun, lively and joyous.We involve dedicated Art, Drama and Music teachers who are experts in their field and who teach our children in cultural events from the early years of schoolchildren.Within our philosophical educational beliefs that children must be exposed to many different facets of life, we have introduced a Clubs and Societies programme which allows school pupils to explore other talents and interests and breaks from the academic programme.Currently the Clubs and Societies programme involves the following activities such as Debating club,Book club,Crafts club,Scrap booking club,Art club,Chess club and Photography club”- Govin
