Trichirappalli
writers Association honoured noted Tamil writer and orator Arivoli with
Bharathi Award in Trichirappalli recently. In his introductory address, the
Chairman of Trichirappalli Writers Association, V.Jawahar Arumugam mentioned
that Trichirappalli Writers Association honours Tamil scholars periodically since
2009 with Bharathi Award which carries citation and a purse of Rs.5000. The
chairman appreciated the scholarly contribution of Tamil writer and orator
Arivoli and he has been chosen for this award for the year 2012.The Executive
member of Trichirappalli District Welfare committee, Dr.V.Jayapal presided over
the function and handed over the Award and a purse of Rs.5000 to Writer
Arivoli.Prof.So.Sathiyaseelan,the President of the Association gave the special
address. Prof.So.Sathiyaseelan said “It was a memorable occasion for Tamil
lovers who were happy to witness that Tamil writer and orator Arivoli, a noted
Tamil Scholar from Trichy was honoured with the "Bharathi Award-2012' for
his yeoman service for the promotion of Tamil language and literature through
research books and speeches”. Writer Arivoli
thanked Trichirappalli Writers Association for selecting him for the
prestigious Bharathi Award-2012 and said that Tamil Culture is a “way of life”,
a gracious living that has been formed during the centuries of Tamil of
history. Arivoli mentioned Tamil is as great as Bramom, as Huge, large, giant
in simple words extraordinarily big,Bramom in Vedam is the name given to the
power that made knowledge effective, namely the spiritual power, signified the
power to grow and sacrifice, the initial manifestation of the material universe
and all therein arose. Vedam, the Siddha literatures mention about dengue as
pitha suram that is caused by increased pitham and in Siddha there is so many
medicines like Sittramutti Kudineer,Adathodai Juice, Chukku Kudineer,Santha
Chandrodayam ,Nilavembu Kudineer etc. Dengue
is an epidemic disease of tropical subtropical regions of the world. India; a
tropical country faces frequent outbreaks of dengue.Siddha; a traditional
system of medicine practiced in South India has treatment for this dreadful
disease. Siddha literatures are enriched with data about dengue, collected over
the period of centuries by Siddha physicians with their experience in tackling
this tropical epidemic disease. Arivoli made an analytical speech about
Andam, Nitharsanam, Maha Vakkiyam, and the narration of writer Kandesan. The
members of Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam and District Welfare committee,
Trichy District Writers Association, members of Trichirappalli District Press
club and several other Tamil scholars, writers, educationists, honoured scholar
Arivoli with Ponnadai and congratulated him for bagging this prestigious
Bharthi award. The President of SOuth Zone BOard of CoNtinuing Education
(OZONE), Dr.K.Govindaraju, Tamil Scholars Murugandam, Murugesan, Maathu,
Dr.Kesavaraj and several others conveyed their greetings to this senior great
Tamil scholar Arivloli.-Govin
