SEVAI Shanthi Matric Higher Secondary School gets RO Drinking water.

Treated water by RO Plant

SEVAI Shanthi Matric Higher Secondary School gets RO Drinking water and in this school where around 1800 school students, teachers and associated staff members use the School campus and the clean drinking water was a major concern. The school has adequate water but not of drinking quality. This School Principal Mrs.B.Chitra approached Go Global team and with their support the installed a reverse osmosis (RO) plant in the school to provide safe drinking water. Now all the children get clean drinkable water. “I feel proud that we have been able to help these children get clean drinking water,” the School Principal says and thanks for the

timely support of the school management for the construction of over head tank and Go Global team for the support of
installing Go Global team. Most parents of the school pupils are poor. The school Principal Mrs.B.Chitra had sent an invitation to all parents to come and meet the class teacher and the Head Master and the school team used this opportunity to talk to them about the importance of providing their children clean drinking water and the safe water supply to children of the school in their homes too continues apart from the School.. On an average an adult drinks 4 to 5 litres of water a day, when it comes to children it varies a lot, a normal calculation for a student on average is 3 litres a day. Since a child spends only 7 hours in school this rate would further come down but since school children play in school, de- hydration level of a child goes up so children tend to drink more water which brings the consumption of water level to 2.5 litres a day. This required quantiy of drinking water is provided to stuents of the school and the teachers and non teaching staff of the school and this project is a tool for maintaining a good health for the students and the adult population those use SEVAI Shanthi Matri.Higher Secondary school.-Govin
