social development. Optimizing the early years of
kids’ lives is the best investment we can make as a society in ensuring their future success. The emotional, social and physical development of young children has a direct effect on their overall development and on the adult they will become. That is why understanding the need to invest in very young children is so important, so as to maximize their future well-being. Babies begin to learn about the world around them from a very early age including during the prenatal, prenatal and postnatal period. Family is the single most important influence in a child's life. From their first moments of life, children depend on parents and family to protect them and provide for their needs. Parents and family form a child's first relationships. The first five years of a child's life are fundamentally important. Children learn more quickly during their early years than at any other time in life. They need love and nurturing to develop a sense of trust and security that turns into confidence as they grow. As teachers it’s important to value children’s interests and experiences as it show the children we are listening to them, it helps them to become their own individual person, to concentrate more, have higher self-esteem and it also helps to have. Visual learners learn best through the use of visual aids, diagrams, or other visual tools other than words. Auditory learners process best through listening, reading aloud and talking about ideas. The kids want a simple acknowledgement for all the everyday things they succeed at and do so well, accomplishments other kids might brush off as too easy, or acts adults might not even notice. By recognizing and celebrating such small, everyday successes with kids, parents and teachers can reinforce resilience and self-esteem in immeasurable ways".-Kris
