SEVAI successfully implemented two watershed projects, enhancing water conservation efforts in Nottakarankuttai (Perur Village, Gudalur Panchayat) and Sokkankulam (Thirumalaireddipatty). The projects aimed to boost groundwater recharge, improve water availability, and support local ecosystems. Key achievements include constructing 1 recharge shaft, 2 gully plug structures, and feeding channels in each tank, along with 1 check dam at Nottakarankuttai. 1,000 tree saplings were planted, with 500 in each area. The projects have improved water conservation, crop yield, food security, soil health, climate resilience, and livelihood support, benefiting local farmers and ecosystems 🌿.
