On 18 February 2026, SEVAI hosted a dinner for the ICHEC Business School Brussels students' team after a campfire at SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pettavaithalai. The three teams, with a total of 31 students, along with their Director Mr. Vincent Haurt and two supervisors, were served a traditional dinner as a post-campfire celebration, marking the successful completion of one classroom at SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, one community centre in Allur, and another in Amoor. In keeping with Tamil Nadu's time-honored tradition, the meal was served on banana leaves — a practice reflecting deep cultural values of hospitality, purity, and connection to nature. The banana leaf is naturally clean, eco-friendly, and enhances the flavor of food, making meals feel more authentic and wholesome. Guests are welcomed with respect by offering meals on banana leaves, symbolizing abundance and care, with the belief that eating from a leaf brings health benefits and aligns with sustainable living. The Belgian students and team enjoyed this unique experience, appreciating not only the taste but also the cultural richness and warmth behind it. It was more than just a meal — it was a celebration of tradition, respect for nature, and heartfelt hospitality. 🌿Govin
