Trichy holds Fundraiser for Roja Muthaiah Research Library.




A fundraising event for the upcoming Roja Muthiah Research Library building in Taramani, Chennai, was held on Friday evening at Kalaiarangam Kalyana Mandapam, Trichy, jointly organized by the Roja Muthiah Research Library and the Kalam Literary Club. The event was graced by Thiru. V. Saravanan, IAS, District Collector of Trichy, who, as Chief Guest, highlighted the importance of preserving Tamil literature and history and presented a cheque of ₹2,50,000 on behalf of the Tiruchirappalli District Welfare Fund Committee to Thiru. Sundar Ganesh, Director of the Research Library. Delivering the keynote address, Thiru. R. Balakrishnan, IAS (Retd.), Chairman of the International Tamil Training Centre, Government of Tamil Nadu, outlined the vision for the new library and emphasized public and institutional support. The event saw participation from popular Tamil literary figures, writers from Trichy and Pudukkottai, and Dr. K. Govindaraju, Treasurer of the Trichirapalli District Welfare Fund Committee, with Mr. Tulsidasan served as Co-ordinator of the project.
