Sapthathi Poorthi Kalyanam – A Blessed Celebration of 70 Glorious Years*

With divine grace and family devotion, the *Sapthathi Poorthi Kalyanam* of *Sri P. Vedhachalam* and *Smt. Jaya Vedhachalam* was celebrated recently at Pudukkottai in a traditional and heartfelt manner.

The sacred ceremony, marking the completion of 70 years of age, was lovingly organized by their devoted daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. It was a moment of gratitude, where the couple sought the blessings of the Almighty and elders for _deerkha ayul, arogyam_ and _soukhyam_ in the years ahead.

*Sri P. Vedhachalam* is a respected *social activist* and senior Advocate of Pudukkottai, known for his decades of selfless service, community welfare initiatives, and guidance to the younger generation. His principled life and dedication to society have earned him deep regard among all.

*Smt. Jaya Vedhachalam* is a multifaceted personality – a *women activist, poet, singer, and President of Muthamil Sangam, Pudukkottai*. Through her literary contributions, melodious songs, and tireless work for women’s empowerment, she has nurtured Tamil culture and inspired countless women to step forward with confidence. Her leadership of Muthamil Sangam has kept the flame of _Iyal, Isai, Naatakam_ alive in the district.

The couple has been blessed with two daughters who are accomplished *doctors*, serving society through the noble medical profession. Their sons-in-law and grandchildren joined together to make this Sapthathi Poorthi a memorable event, reflecting the values of love, respect, and gratitude instilled by the elders.
