From Dry land to Crop production 🥉

ASSIST, a non-profit organization headquartered in Andhra Pradesh, is driving impactful community development in Manaparai Block, Tiruchirappalli District, Tamil Nadu, through CSR funding and strong local participation. Its integrated approach includes revitalizing water resources with check dams and percolation tanks, strengthening household incomes through livelihood support and dryland farming, advancing climate resilience with large-scale planting of fruit tree saplings, and promoting sustainable agriculture through organic inputs and flower cultivation. The project also encompasses a goat-rearing program for landless families across nearly thirty villages and the renovation of Anganwadi centers to improve early childhood care. In addition, ASSIST has installed solar street lights to enhance safety and quality of life.
