The Kalaiarangam, a cinema theatre in Trichy, a property of District Welfare Fund Committee   has been altered into a large fully air-conditioned marriage hall. The marriage hall has a seating capacity of 1,700 persons with a dining space with a capacity to accommodate 350 persons in one sitting. The Project cost was Rs.2 crore. The marriage hall would benefit the common people for holding dramas and other functions at affordable cost. District Collector K. Rajamani, who is the Chairman of the District Welfare Fund Committee, inaugurated the air-conditioned marriage hall on 12^th September 2018, Wednesday in the presence of the treasurer SEVAI Govindarajan and members namely JJL Gnanaraj,Dr.Alleem,Sivani P.Selvaraj,A.V.Rajagoplan,Dr.V.Jayapal,Manager Thirunavukarsu,Engineer Sudeep and PRO,Singaram.
