SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pettavaithalai-Students lend a helping hand to Gaja Cyclone victims in Trichy.

Students hands over Rs.10453 for Gaja cyclone victims relief to Principal

Students of ‘SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pettavaithalai’ in Trichirapalli District collected donations from their parents and handed over Rs.10453  to Ms.Kala, Principal of the School  as students  contribution for the relief measures of Gaja Cyclone victims. Subsequently this donation had been handed over by the School Teacher Mr.Varadarajan to Vasavi Vidyalaya, one of the Zonal points of Matriculation Schools in Trichy as per the guidance of Education authorities. It is understood that Education Department authorities would hand over all the donations contributed by various schools to the cyclone victims through the Government officials. The students who are busy with their half yearly examinations decided to collect donations  to render a helping hand to the Gaja “cyclone victims” of Tamilnadu.The Principal appreciated the gesture of the school students for their contribution at their level to the ‘Gaja Cyclone Victims. School principal Ms.Kala, appreciating the gesture of the students, said that people should develop social responsibility and help fellow citizens at the time of natural calamities. She said such an act would send a message to others to follow to support Gaja Cyclone Victims those ‘Need Food, Water and Shelter’ .-Kris
