Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School community gathered around the Perumal and Pillayar
school temples to celebrate Krishna Jayanthi. Every year, the school celebrates
the birth of lord Krishna between August or September and, this year it is on
August 23rd.Our youngest students captured all the attention today
with their colourful and traditional dresses. The LKG and UKG children dressed
up as Krishna and Rathai and all the students visited the temple to do poojai
and pray in front of the God. The sole reason of celebrating this festival is
bringing people together so that principles of unity strengthen and we didn’t
want to miss this opportunity to do the same among our school community. Lord Krishna's birth is symbolic
of the victory of good over evil. It was a very special celebration in which all took
