Kids and Teachers in Red Day Celelbration in SEVAI School |
Sarah Sebaoun, a
teacher of SEVAI Shanthi Higher Secondary School reports. “On August 30th,
we organised a Red Day Celebration following on our Colour Day Theme that SEVAI
Shanthi School started with the younger students. After the enthusiasm and
success that the two past editions that Blue and Yellow day had, we decided to
have a Red Day to complete the primary colours sessions. In this day, our
constant aim to improve and learn, we introduced some new activities. To
develop their sensorial skills, we prepared some Montessori based activities in
which the children were able to manipulate different shapes, materials and to
create their own and unique piece of work.We also prepared some red colour
objects of everyday life for the children to touch and see, as well as a fancy-dress
contest with red colour things for Pre-KG. All the SEVAI Shanthi
School community participated to make a success out of this day by contributing
somehow with materials, decorations or activities. We believe that teamwork is
important to build new events of this kind among our students. The class and
teachers from Sevai Special School also joined the celebration wearing red
colour dresses and decorating their classroom. We are looking forward to new
adventures for our school community”. -Kris
