Society for Education, Village Action and
Improvement (SEVAI) is a registered charitable society and a secular voluntary
organization established in the year registered in the year 1984. SEVAI has
established a full fledged training centre in
Amoor Village for the capacity building of Community Development Organizers, Self
Help Group (SHG) members, Staff of SEVAI, Farmers groups, organic farm
promoters, Panchayat Raj Institutions and other public for different
developmental involvement. This centre is also a platform for the NGO-Govt
network. The
SEVAI Amoor training centre has training Facilities.SEVAI has promoted community based organizations for group dynamics and
common action geared to community development. The village Self Help groups are
to meet at least once in a month and deliberate on current topics/issues which
include livelihood promotion, quality of life
improvement and peoples’ interest
programs and self evaluation exercises. SEVAI conducts special participatory
spot survey cum study exercise using PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) tool
of social analysis. Series of training and orientation programmes have been
going on for upliftment of village communities. Some of the major areas of
training to be specially recalled are SHG/JLG Development animators training, rural farmers training, PRA training, watershed development
& management training, organic farmers training,
and Child protection and
development training. Amoor cottage NGO training centre provides the
stakeholder in capacity
building, quality assurance and development services with a mission to develop
and promote possible skilled development standards, and provide quality capacity
building and consultancy services through managerial and skills training, team
building and field exposure activities for community development participants. SEVAI
believes in: quality training standards, Continuous human resource development,
