is the anniversary of the day India became an
independent republic. Though India's declaration of Independence was
signed on 15th August 1947, the constitution which was written for
independent India came into the effect on January 26,
1950.India became a sovereign democratic republic after its
constitution came into effect on 26 January 1950. Dr. Rajendra Prasad became
the first President of India. The constitution gave India’s citizens
the power to govern themselves by choosing their own government. You might be proud to be a student at your
school. You might be proud to be on a team. You might be proud to be a member
of your family. You should also be proud to be a citizen of India. Loving
and
appreciating our country, India is a very patriotic attitude. Not only is
patriotism about feeling pride in our country, it is about taking that pride a
step further and putting it into action. A patriotic student sees their status
as an Indian citizen as a great honor, but that honor comes with
responsibility. Patriotic student make choices that will make their country
look good. Patriotism
is a feeling of attachment and commitment
to our nation, India”. The
