Boys Club launched in SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School with the initiative of Police officials in Pettavaithalai.

Boys Club was launched in SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School with the initiative of Police officials in Pettavaithalai on 12th February 2020. Mrs. Rubini, Sub Inspector of Police, Pettavaithalai and her associates commenced Boys Club with the association of the School Administration of SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pettavaithalai. Higher Secondary classes’ students actively enrolled themselves of the members of the Boys club. School Physcial Directors of School Mrs.K.Maheswari and Mr.N.Kannan organized a volley ball match event between two houses of SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School team with the guidance and support and presence of Police Officials. The School students, teachers and especially police officials encouraged the school teams those were playing volley ball match.The Sub-Inspector of Police, Ms.Rubini  presented the prizes to winners at the end of the sports meet.  Mr.K.Devendran, School Welfare officer and the School Principal Ms.Chitra and senior management team of School coordinated the program and thanked the Police Officials for their initiative of launching the Boys club in the School. When the Blog Writer contacted the Principal over phone, Madam Principal Chitra enlightened the salient features of the function and especially  appreciated the involvement Sub-Inspector of Police and shared her views as, “engaging children in sports has health benefits and  education benefits such as motor, cognitive, social, cultural and moral developments in the  areas of learning.The club managed by a Physical Director of School with the guidance of Police Officials will be functional in the school, providing children a space for recreation and reading apart from engaging in sports and games. This would create a chance for students from the margins to grab unique opportunities to showcase and sharpen their talents and ensure that their time is spent in productive ways".-Govin
