Tank, women SHG project implemented by SEVAI-OFI and Alstom improves quality of life improvement of Villagers.

The SEVAI-OFI Alstom project's Nottakaran Kuttai tank Deepening and renovation development has transformed irrigation and farming in the area 🌿. Mr. K. Devenran, SEVAI's Agricultural expert, reports a significant improvement in the quality of life in target villages. Farmer Savarimuthu credits the project for recharging his wells and boosting crop production, enabling him to grow paddy, vegetables, and increase his income. Women SHG members are benefiting from agro-based livelihoods, accessing bank loans, and managing finances. The project's focus on rainwater harvesting, soil conservation, environment conservation, and efficient irrigation has empowered local farmers, especially women, leading to improved household nutrition, income, and community growth. Waterbodies development has recharged groundwater, boosted crop yields, and supported livelihoods, transforming the lives of farmers and women SHG members 🙏.
