Watershed for Food Production and Ecology conservation

SEVAI-promoted women farmers showcased a miniature watershed model demonstrating effective rainwater harvesting techniques 🌟. The model features contour bunds to prevent soil erosion, gully plugs to control erosion, percolation tanks for groundwater recharge, check dams to slow water flow, and catchment input channels to direct rainwater into storage. Spillway tanks manage excess water, while outlet channels release it safely. The project also includes deepening open irrigation wells, groundwater recharge, and tree plantation for environmental conservation. The women farmers visited Dasilnaickanoor Watershed project, implemented and maintained by SEVAI over three decades, showcasing successful watershed management practices.

Added "and maintained" for clarity 😊
