Yoga Vijayakumar honoured with the Governor's Award, appreciated.

Dr. K. Govindaraju, Founder and Director of SEVAI (2025 Government of Tamil Nadu Awardee) and Treasurer of Trichy District Welfare Fund Committee, congratulated Vijaya Kumar, a dedicated yoga instructor and social activist, on receiving the Governor's Award for outstanding social services on Republic Day 2026. As administrator of Amirtham Social Service Trust, Vijaya Kumar has performed last rites for unclaimed bodies, provided free food, and runs a library. He, along with his family, treats the deceased with dignity, highlighting the struggles of the poor. His efforts include 25 blood donations, authoring 40 books, donating his body to science, and organizing stamp exhibitions in schools. The award, with a citation and cash prize of Rs.200,000, recognizes his dedication to social service and environmental protection.
