They provide avenues that encourage discussion, and increase productivity. Team building takes time but the end results are well worth the extra time. It is an ongoing process that boosts commitment. Communication is another key to team unity. Part of communicating is getting to know teammates, their opinions, concerns and aspirations for the team. SEVAI-OFI Cow project takes off in Sirugamani.Special care is given for cow rearing in this project. The women Self Help group members those have milk cows visited this project. The cow care taker of this project, Devi enlightened the women groups on dairy cows maintains.Thangaraju, a cow farm trainer spoke to the women group members, “A cow can bring great personal satisfaction and enjoyment. Just having her around and attending to her can become a daily pleasure. The cow needs daily attention, and the cow farmer must provide the basic care to sustain cow and promote growth and good health. Still, cows are remarkable creatures. Left to their own devices, they can live fairly well on their own with little outside help. Their survival instincts can be to advantage. In normal circumstances and with a healthy animal, one won’t need to babysit her too often. After providing her with water, shelter, and whatever feed she can graze, she can be left alone for most of the day. In return, she’ll reward you with her milk, often considered nature’s most perfect food. The initiation of lactation, or milking, begins with cow giving birth. Before this happens, the cow farmers need to make several decisions. The process of a pregnant cow that is dry will be quite different than if the cow farmer purchases a cow that is in lactation. If she is dry, the cow farmer will have some time to get her acclimated to farm and can plan milking routine. If she is giving milk, farmers need to put milking plan into action when she arrives. A dairy cow is typically milked twice each day, seven days a week, until she is dried off in anticipation of her next calf. Peak milk production occurs in the first three to four months after calving. It is a standard lactation curve: high early on and then tapering off. Feed quality and availability, weather and climate conditions, and udder and body health are factors that affect production levels. There is no rule or law that says the cow farmers have to milk her twice a day, once a day, or even at all. Nor is there any regulation that states what hour of the day she should be milked”. -Govin

Trichirappalli writers Association honoured noted Tamil writer and orator Arivoli with Bharathi Award in Trichirappalli recently. In his introductory address, the Chairman of Trichirappalli Writers Association, V.Jawahar Arumugam mentioned that Trichirappalli Writers Association honours Tamil scholars periodically since 2009 with Bharathi Award which carries citation and a purse of Rs.5000. The chairman appreciated the scholarly contribution of Tamil writer and orator Arivoli and he has been chosen for this award for the year 2012.The Executive member of Trichirappalli District Welfare committee, Dr.V.Jayapal presided over the function and handed over the Award and a purse of Rs.5000 to Writer Arivoli.Prof.So.Sathiyaseelan,the President of the Association gave the special address. Prof.So.Sathiyaseelan said “It was a memorable occasion for Tamil lovers who were happy to witness that Tamil writer and orator Arivoli, a noted Tamil Scholar from Trichy was honoured with the "Bharathi Award-2012' for his yeoman service for the promotion of Tamil language and literature through research books and speeches”.  Writer Arivoli thanked Trichirappalli Writers Association for selecting him for the prestigious Bharathi Award-2012 and said that Tamil Culture is a “way of life”, a gracious living that has been formed during the centuries of Tamil of history. Arivoli mentioned Tamil is as great as Bramom, as Huge, large, giant in simple words extraordinarily big,Bramom in Vedam is the name given to the power that made knowledge effective, namely the spiritual power, signified the power to grow and sacrifice, the initial manifestation of the material universe and all therein arose. Vedam, the Siddha literatures mention about dengue as pitha suram that is caused by increased pitham and in Siddha there is so many medicines like Sittramutti Kudineer,Adathodai Juice, Chukku Kudineer,Santha Chandrodayam ,Nilavembu Kudineer etc. Dengue is an epidemic disease of tropical subtropical regions of the world. India; a tropical country faces frequent outbreaks of dengue.Siddha; a traditional system of medicine practiced in South India has treatment for this dreadful disease. Siddha literatures are enriched with data about dengue, collected over the period of centuries by Siddha physicians with their experience in tackling this tropical epidemic disease. Arivoli made an analytical speech about Andam, Nitharsanam, Maha Vakkiyam, and the narration of writer Kandesan. The members of Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam and District Welfare committee, Trichy District Writers Association, members of Trichirappalli District Press club and several other Tamil scholars, writers, educationists, honoured scholar Arivoli with Ponnadai and congratulated him for bagging this prestigious Bharthi award. “SEVAI-OFI Cow farm undertakes study on feeding Sugar cane Tops” said SEVAI-OFI- cow farm manager Devendran. He further said, “The Sugarcane tops are the important crop residue yielding about 10% of the total sugarcane yield. In Pettavaithalai, a sugar factory is functional for decades and several sugarcane cultivators cultivate cane sugar for the supply of sugar cane to this Pettavaithalai sugar factory. Thus there is abundant availability of sugarcane tops at the time of harvest in Sirugamani area where SEVAI-OFI Cow farm has been established”. Devendran added “sugar cane top (SCT) which could be used a fodder to reduce pressure on the cultivable land. Information on the effect of feeding value added sugarcane tops silage with 1% urea, 0.5% salt and 2% molasses on the reproductive traits in dairy cattle is to be added. The tops were then chopped to a length of 4-5 cm using chaff-cutter and ensiled in silo pits with one per cent urea, 0.5% common salt and two percent molasses on air-dry basis. The Bajara-Napiar hybrid grass was mixed with Alfalfa in the ratio of 1:1.09 in order to match the nitrogen and energy content. In Tamilnadu state sugar cane is cultivated as an economic crop. It is grown in a selected track around the sugar mills and also sporadically by big farmers in remote villages for jaggary production. The sugar cane tops is a rich resource for animal feeding. Sugar cane is cultivated in irrigated area, Where the Crossbreed animals concentration is also high and it a complementing situation. The major requirement for ensiling the sugar cane tops with the green leaves is a chaff cutter to seed the matured lignified materials can be well packed to create an anaerobic condition to promote fermentation. Very good silage can be obtained, as soluble sugar is available for effective fomentation. Considering the dry matter contends other crop residue with low dry matter content can also be mixed for ensiling. The chaffed sugar cane tops can also be directly fed to the high yielding crossbreed animals for economic milk production. Harvesting of sugar cane coincides with the winter a scarcity period of energy rich fodder for animals. In Trichy District, livestock depend heavily on SCT, especially in winter when the productivity of most other species is at its lowest. The preserved SCT materials have been well received by both the livestock and the farmers. The rate of urea application has been 4 – 5 percent of SCT dry matter. However, further study is needed, and that is why, with the support of KVK-Sirugamani SEVAI proposes to undertake study on Sugar cane tops as fodder for cows those are giving milk, not for pregnant cows.”-Govin

The New Year's resolutions of each student of this school are, in fact, goals such as: the student will do his or her homework in time and sleep in time. The students take pledges to drink milk and water and will eat at least one fruit and one vegetable every day and they will never give out personal information such as my name, home address, school name or telephone number to strangers. They will be friendly to pupils who need friends - like someone who is shy and will try to stay in the shade whenever possible will try to find a sport that he likes and does it, will take care of their health through physical activity and nutrition, will wipe negative "self talk" out of their vocabulary, will be nice to their parents, teachers and elders and show respect to them, will help out in their community - through volunteering, working with community groups or by joining a group that helps people in need, When feel angry or stressed out, they will take a break and find constructive ways to deal with the stress, such as exercising, reading, writing or discussing problem with parent or teacher, will attend school every day of school year, so they never have to make up any work.-Govin
