SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pettavaithalai, celebrated its anniversary on February 13, 2026, with cultural events, a few themed around Environment Conservation and Sustainable Agro Forestry. Around two thousand parents, mostly from the farming community, participated.
Earlier,Mrs. Sudha, Additional Director, SEVAI, highlighted Green India's Agro Forestry program, showcasing a poster on the Green India-SEVAI initiative to parents and participants. The program promotes sustainable fruit and timber tree plantations in Trichy and Karur districts, providing cost-free saplings and bio-fertilizers. Over 150,000 saplings planted; benefits include environmental conservation, climate change mitigation, and improved livelihoods. SEVAI offers training and technical support, with plans to expand Agro Forestry to other blocks in Trichy and Karur Districts 🌿.Govin
