Dr.M.S.Vijay Anand honoured with OZONE Excellence Medical Services Award -Maruthuva Sudar Award-2026

On 25 April 2026, OZONE conferred the _Excellence Medical Services Award, ‘Maruthuva Sudar’-2026_ on Dr. M. S. Vijayanand at Kalaiaarangam Conference Hall, Tiruchirappalli, for his exemplary rural surgical service and cancer care. District Judge (Retd.) Shri. Kukan @ K. Karunanithi and Dr. M.A. Aleem presented the award in the presence of OZONE Chairman Dr. K. Govindaraju and Padmashree Marachi Subburaman, with Dr. Aleem hailing Dr. Vijayanand’s dedication to taking advanced surgery to underserved patients. A surgical gastroenterologist trained at Kilpauk and Stanley Medical Colleges, with HPB expertise from Asan Memorial Hospital, South Korea, Dr. Vijayanand has performed 2,000+ laparoscopic and 500+ major cancer surgeries. As Managing Trustee of Delta Cancer Foundation, his _Cancer Free Cauvery Delta_ program has screened 1,000+ patients and delivered subsidized surgeries, backed by continuous outreach across Trichy. Dedicating the honour to equitable healthcare, he thanked OZONE for recognising a mission where surgical precision meets social purpose.
