Trichy Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam recorded its appreciation and best wishes to Tamilnadu Government headed by Ms.J.Jayalalithaa.

Trichy: 1, June: Trichy Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam which met on 31st May, 2011 in Kaaliarangam premises. Its chairman Prof.So.Sathiyaseelan chaired the Executive meeting and passed a resolution by congratulating Ms.J.Jayalalithaa for her victory from Trichy District and taking over the offices of Honble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. Secretary of Trichy Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam, Dr.K.Govindaraju proposed this resolution and the noted musician and member of Muthamil Dalai Panpattu Maiyam, Thiru.AKC Natarajan seconded the resolution and the resolution was unanimously passed. Trichy Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam Chairman Prof.So.Sathiyaseelan appreciated the gesture of Hon’ble J.Jayalalithaa that within hours she assumed office as the new chief minister, Jayalalitha immediately gave formal approval to seven proposals that was promised in her election manifesto such as  20 kg of free rice for the poor and 35 kg for the very poor through the public distribution system, four gram gold for making mangalsutra, and also doubled the marriage assistance for women with graduate degrees or diplomas to Rs. 50000,Monthly assistance for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and destitute women are also doubled to Rs. 1000, hike in the assistance from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 2000 for fisher folk during the 45-day ban on fishing; and a six-month-long maternity leave for government women employees and setting up a new department to be headed by a minister was also established to monitor the implementation of the promises made in the AIADMK manifesto. Trichy Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam also passed a resolution condoling the sudden demise of Minister Mariam Pichai in a road mishap. The members of Executive committee Mr.V.Jawahar Arumugam, Mrs.Revathy Muthusamy, Mr.Muthuvelalagar and Mr.Murugesan participated in this meeting and Executive officer Dr.Thirunavukarasu made the arrangements for the Executive meeting.-Govin
