SEVAI Women Self Help Groups performances recognized.

SEVAI Women Self Help Groups performances were recognized by Mrs. Benjamine Oberoi. Mrs.Benjamine Oberoi, (OFI- Vice President/CFI Founder) received Raja Foundation’s Women’s Award-2018 in France recently from the Raja Danièle-Marcovici Foundation. that Raja Danièle-Marcovici Foundation has recognized organizations in France and around the world for actions that have a concrete and lasting impact for the benefit of women and encourages their empowerment and the improvement of their living conditions with better quality of life. Mrs.Oberoi further said, “Raja Danièle-Marcovici Foundation supports projects in the fight against violence and the defense of women’s rights, education and social action, training and professional integration, protection of the environment and the fight against climate change”.
K.Govindaraju, Director of SEVAI said, “OFI/CFI has been supporting various projects for the empowerment and economic empowerment of rural women in Tamil Nadu for more than a decade.Mrs.Benjamine Oberoi, OFI/CFI Vice President with her local partner SEVAI has the created more than 15,000 Self-Help Groups. 150,000 households were able to overcome the poverty line. This Award was given to the Objectif France-Inde for its projects to support marginalized women towards the end of poverty by setting up a Self-Help Groups (groups of mutual aid). Federation leaders in the recognition of services as joy of sharing this Raja Foundation Women’s Award-2018.The SHG coordinator of SEVAI, Mrs.P.Vanitha presented a souvenir to Mrs.Benjamine. The get to get-together came to an end with a lunch hosted by Mrs.Benjamine Oberoi. Earlier Mrs.Benjamine launched a readymade garments production unit as initiated by SEVAI as self employment generation for women Self Help group members.-

SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School Anniversary

Speaking on the occasion of School Anniversary of SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School Dr.Mrs.Benjamine Oberoi, the founder of CASA Foundation and Vice President of OFI-France shared that SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School was started in Pettavaithalai in Trichy District 25 years ago with a humble and new start with a little number (35) of its tender kids. With the hopeful start, and as per the above saying, the number of students has risen to an incredible strength of around 2000 pupils from KG to XII Std. Gradually; laying the foundation of the children from K.G. level, SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School has touched incredible heights in Higher Secondary level. Dr.Benjamine Oberoi added, “This remarkable goal is attained by SEVAI and   relentless efforts of Teachers and Management of this school headed by K.Govindaraju with the support of well-wishers. Arise and Shine is the guiding principle of this school and it helps the students to develop in to integrated personalities; besides, it infuses into the students the noblest qualities of self-confidence, self control and self sacrifice the three stepping stones to success”.Mrs. Premalatha Rajamani, who was invited the guest of honour appreciated the initiatives taken by SEVAI for establishing a school of this high quality and nature in a rural setting with  a great charter formation among the school pupils. Mrs. Premalatha Rajamani added that the main pillars of character to include: trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, caring, fairness and citizenship and she expressed her happiness that the school drives in right character formation direction and also performing academic excellence in this school. Dr.K.Meena, former Vice Chancellor of Bhardhidassan University, who presided over the function  appreciated the excellent performance of SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School over the years as she is aware of  the performance the school both curricular and non curricular for more than two decades.  Former Vice Chancellor advised the management of the school to start higher education colleges also for the benefit of the rural pupils.Mr.Vincent Huart of ICHEC Business School, Belgium expressed his happiness for his ICHEC school association with SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School for more than a decade and he is happy to note that the integrated performance of the school is commendable. Dr.K.Govindaraju introduced the guests to the teachers and parents and pupil of the school. Mrs.Padmini Govindaraju, a former principal   honoured the guests of honour. Vice Principal Mrs.Meena welcomed the gathering and Mrs.Kala,the Head Master of the School proposed vote of thanks and earlier she presented the school annual Report. Mrs. Premalatha Rajamani and Dr.K.Meena honoured the school toppers with certificates and prizes. The function came to end with school cultural performed by school pupils and also ICHEC School participants from Belgium.-Kris
