“The Importance of Cultural Events” highlighted in SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher secondary School Anniversary-2015.,SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher secondary School celebrated its School Anniversary on 17^th February 2015. Around 400 students of the school students performed the cultural events for two hours on this occasion at various forms of dances and dramas etc entertaining the audience with the theme “Life Skills, Knowledge and Service. These

three themes were emphasized on the occasion of the school anniversary cultural events with understanding of the culture of India, people, the arts, beliefs, customs, practices, values, and social behaviors. By attending cultural events, the students of SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher secondary School experience firsthand the diverse offerings of culture and artistic expressions. Parents, well-wishers participated as special guests of honour of this School Anniversary. The School Principal Mrs.Chitra Balasubramanian gave welcome speech and appreciated the parents, students and well-wishers and school teachers and associated staff for their fullest cooperation for the successful conduct of school anniversary and said, “The school believes that every child deserves an education regardless of their circumstances. Education cannot happen just at school, it must go beyond the walls of the classroom. Watching a play performed live is quite a different experience than reading a play from a book.
