Kalaiarangam has been modernized as a huge wedding hall. The decision to
convert the movie theatre into a marriage hall with a seating capacity of 1,500
persons was taken by the District Welfare Fund Committee in January 2018 at a cost
of 2.5 crore including the cost of the utensils, seating arrangements and Generator etc. The fully air conditioned marriage
hall is equipped with a dining space with a capacity to accommodate 350 persons
in one sitting. District Collector K.Rajamani, who also serves as Ex-officio
President of District Welfare Fund Committee inaugurated recently the
modernized Kalaiarangam Thirumana Mandapam in the esteemed presence of DWFC
Treasurer, (SEVAI) K.Govindaraju, other Life Members and officials.-Kris
