Organic farming Activist Mr.K.Devendran honoured with OZONE Social Worker Award

Mr.K.Devendran, an Agro Farming Activist was conferred on the OZONE Social Worker Award for 

hands-on with the soil and passionate about spreading the organic love.

The Chairman of OZONE, Dr. K.Govindaraju appreciated the services rendered by K.Devendranand added ," An organic farming practitioner and Social activist who has demonstrated his skills through Socity for Education, Village Action and Improvement, Trichy.

He has a plot of land in Kamanaikanpalayam near Pettavaithalai and promoting natural methods like compost, crop rotation, and biological pest control, 

Nurtures Soil Health  Focuses on building fertile, living soil,

Promotes Sustainability, Encourages eco-friendly practices, water conservation, and biodiversity,

Educates and Advocates,Shares knowledge with communities, supports local farmers, and pushes for the organic process and taken up large scale organic farming activities with the farmers.Activities such as Seed Preservation,Saving heirloom seeds and promoting biodiversity through myiawalki promotion in several villages, organised 

Awareness Drives Workshops, farm visits, and promoting organic lifestyles.Mr.K.Davendran's contribution as project manager in Watershed management is a great project implemented by SEVAI and he is the game-changer for food production by small and marginal farmers by adopting organic way of cultivation as by  conserving water and soil, it boosts crop yields and farmer livelihoods,

Water Harvesting, Structures like check dams and ponds recharge groundwater, ensuring irrigation during dry spells,

Soil Conservation Techniques like contour farming and afforestation prevent erosion, retaining fertile topsoil,

Increased Productivity, Better water and soil health lead to higher crop yields and diversified farming,

Climate Resilience, as Watersheds help communities adapt to droughts and erratic rainfall,

In the villages,initiatives taken by Mr.K.Devendran like the Watershed Development Programme empower farmers with sustainable practices with success initiatives  on implementing watershed projects in promoting Organic Agriculture in several villages in Trichy and Karur Districts." The OZONE Social Worker Award was handed over to Mr.
