Trichy Birds Park, located on the banks of the Cauvery River, is a vibrant eco-tourism spot featuring 40 species of exotic birds, an aquarium, and recreational facilities. The park was built at a cost of ₹18.63 crore, with the Trichirapalli District Welfare Fund Committee investing one-third of the establishment cost under the Namaku Namea Scheme. It's currently maintained by A.K.Fun Zone, a private firm, on a revenue-sharing basis with the District Welfare Fund Committee. The revenue generated is used for charitable purposes, aligning with the committee's by law.
