SEVAI promotes Household mushroom cultivation 🌿

SEVAI is empowering women in Amoor through mushroom cultivation, a livelihood activity for Self Help Groups (SHGs) .This low-cost, low-risk, and high-return venture is being promoted and trained by SEVAI, enabling SHG members to cultivate mushrooms in their own homes using locally available materials like paddy straw and maize straw.

With guidance from SEVAI social worker, Mrs. Sarala, women SHG farmers are trained to produce nutritious and marketable mushrooms, generating a steady income and improving their livelihoods. This initiative promotes food security, as the produce is consumed at home and sold in local markets, supporting eco-friendly practices that reduce waste and promote sustainable agriculture .
