Tirumala, a sacred hill in Andhra Pradesh, holds immense spiritual significance for Hindus, particularly devotees of Lord Venkateswara. The temple is believed to be a place where devotees can attain spiritual liberation and fulfill their wishes. The seven hills of Tirumala represent the seven hoods of Adisesha, the cosmic serpent, and are considered a path to self-realization. The spiritual values of Tirumala are rooted in its rich history, architecture, and mythology. The temple's rituals, such as the Abhishekam and Suprabhatham, are designed to promote spiritual growth and devotion. The act of tonsuring one's hair is a symbol of humility and surrender to the divine.
Shri. K. Govindaraju and Smt. Padmini Govindaraju's first visit to Tirumala in 1977 marked the beginning of a lifelong spiritual journey. The couple went on to visit Tirumala around 10 times, along with other sacred sites like Thiruchanoor, Alamelu Mangapuram, and Srinivasa Mangapuram. Smt. Padmini Govindaraju passed away in January 2025 at the age of 70. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire devotion and spiritual growth 🙏.
