A summer camp exclusively for School Children has been organised at SYSTEM Centre premises organized by SEVAI in collaboration with Trichirappalli District Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam, Trichy from 4-10, May 2011. The duration of the summer camp is 7days which includes cultural events, spoken English practice, study materials, educational & fun filled exercises, quiz, interactive sessions etc. Merit Certificate will be awarded to the successful candidates. Campers are offered a variety of youth programs in areas of academic and cultural enrichment as well as sports camps in a open setting. The campus experience helps to develop intellectual, physical, cultural and creative abilities in youth in both day camp and residential camp settings. While delivering the inaugural address, Dr.K.Govindaraju,the chief functionary of SEVAI and Trichirappalli District Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam said “Cultural Events & Special Academic Programs has been designed to extend classroom learning by providing a wide array of diverse programs that enrich, educate and entertain students, campus community and the community-at-large. We also support many other campus arts performances and presentations throughout the year and often collaborate with other area arts venues and presenters. Nearly all our offerings will have campus d demonstrations, pre- or post-performance discussions, workshops and open rehearsals. These are extra chances to meet these artists and speakers up close and personal and learn more about how and why they do what they do.We believe true understanding comes from making connections between ideas, from studying problems and concepts in context. It’s a multifaceted approach that introduces students to the arts of the intellect through the full spectrum of knowledge — liberal only in the breadth of ideas and perspectives. Here, learning extends well beyond the classroom, limited only by our creativity, enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity. From biochemistry to music, from psychology to management, the Trichirappalli District Muthamil Kalai Panpattu Maiyam encourages each student to explore further and dig deeper. Our special programs and activities are designed to stretch thinking skills, broaden horizons and provide valuable real-world experience that will complement and intensify the classroom learning”. Earlier, the Chairman of SYSTEM, K.N.Ramajayam lighted the Kuthu Vilakku and as symbolic inaugural gesture.Mr.Jawahar Arumugam welcomed the gathering, trainer Prabha proposed vote of thanks. Govin
