Trichy:16,August:Usual classes based on ‘Samacheer Kalvi' books began on Tuesday, the 16th August in SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher secondary school in Pettavaithalai of Trichy District., government-aided and self-financing schools in the district. Students seemed to evince interest in the contents made appealing with photographs. The teachers distributed the books after making requisite corrections. Teachers felt they were better placed to handle the classes with confidence. The general opinion of school teachers was that the standard of ‘Samacheer Kalvi' was acceptable for rural matriculation schools. On its part, the Inspectorate of Matriculation Schools has also completed distribution of text books to Matriculation schools in Tiruchi district except a few books. Teachers in SEVAI Shanthi matriculation school felt the need for an orientation on the contents and the teaching-learning approach. -Govin
