Nanthalala appreciates Moon TV

“Tiruchirapalli is home to many Carnatic Musicians and film artistes” said by Kavinjar Nanthalala, a noted Tamil scholar and orator mentioned in his special address in the function of Moon TV Satellite Channel relaunching from Trichy on 1st March 2013. Kavinjar Nanthalala appreciated the initiative of Moon TV Managing Director L.Shawnawaz khan and his team for taking such a bold decision to telecast a Moon TV Satellite channel from a District           Trichy than a metro such as Chennai. Nanthalala recollected the efforts of Late M.G.Ramachanran,then Chief Minister of Tamilnadu for shifting the Head quarters of Tamilnadu Government from Chennai to Trichy, it was  a pity that dream of MGR did not come true till date and he is hopeful that this hope of MGR will be there in due course.Kavinjar Nanthalala expressed his happiness that  Moon TV shifts its headquarters from Chennai to Trichy, following the baseline of MGR. Nanthalala added that Trichirappalli city formed a part of the traditional Chola heartland and has a number of exquisitely sculpted temples and forts and it is centrally located in Tamilnadu. With a substantial population of students and migrant industrial workers from different parts of India, Tiruchirapalli has a more cosmopolitan outlook than the surrounding countryside. Tiruchirapalli is home to many veteran Carnatic Musicians and film artistes such as Shivaji Ganesan, M.R.Radha, M.K.T.Bhahawathar and several living dramatists and Musicians.Tiruchirappalli has a number of historical temples and fortresses and a harmonious inter religious city. The Rock fort, considered to be one of the symbols of Tiruchirapalli, is a fortress which stands atop a 273-foot-high rock. The Ranganathaswamy Temple is an important Vaishnavite pilgrimage center, The Jambukeswarar Temple at Thiruvanaikkaval and the Erumbeeswarar Temple, both dates from the time of the Medieval Cholas. The city's principal mosque is the Nadir shah Mosque which encloses the tomb of the 10th, The Christ Church, the St. Joseph College Church are noted examples of the city. Nanthalala expressed his concern that several film makers choose to go to Madurai for making their feature films in Tamilnadu, setting aside Trichy. Now that Moon TV Channel has tremendous opportunity to project the global activities with a special focus of Trichirapalli, which boosts the image of Trichy. Kavinjar Nanthalala thanked the management of Moon TV for choosing Trichy for their key place of telecast and also he wished the Moon TV channel to raise great heights.-Govin
