South Zone Board of Continuing Education (OZONE)proposes to organize a
seminar on “Continuing Education and Inclusive Development “on the forenoon of 18th
November 2018 in Kalaiaragam conference Hall, Trichirapalli.Dr.K.Meena, former
Vice Chancellor of Bharathidhasan University will preside over the function.
Dr.T.Nagender Swamy, Director, Villages in Partnership, Telangana State will
deliver the Key note address. Community Outreach workers and rural educators,
SHG representatives will participate in this seminar. Dr.T.Nagendar Swamy,Ph.D,
Social Scientist, Dr.S.Jayaraman, Ph.D,
a noted Agricultural Scientist and Dr.M.A.Aleem, a neurologist will be honoured
on the special occasion and they will be presented with Kalam Knowledge Connectivity Awards for their
outstanding outreach for the Community benefits in their respective
fields.

schemes planned under the public-private partnership mode.PURA in the shorter version of Providing
Urban amenities in Rural Areas to tackle the problem of migration of people
from rural to urban areas for employment. It is the former President APJ Abdul Kalam, Who has proposed the
concept of PURA in the VISION
2020 project initiated by him.PURA, Kalam aspired giving
villages physical, electronic and knowledge connectivity and he had in mind
creating PURAs across the country. The social inclusion programme
aims at providing amenities like drinking water, street lights, education,
healthcare and telecom services to the country’s rural areas and ensure its

it up by OZONE for the Knowledge connectivity and other PURA Connectivity.
