World Environment Day-2019 observed in SEVAI by planting and protecting trees.

World Environment Day was observed in 
Dasilnaicknaoor by a Trichy based NGO, SEVAI on June 5. Tree plantation, protection and nurturing had been undertaken in Dasilnaickanoor Dry belt area. This is a drought prone area and water for trees has been injected to every plant for the survival, protection and growth of growth of trees. Tree plantation has also been undertaken and it is proposed to plant 10,000 trees by SEVAI in 2019.Director of SEVAI K.Govindaraju spoke to the Environment care team in Dasilnaickanoor, “the World Environment Day observation is one of the principal vehicles through which worldwide awareness of the environment has been created to protect the environment.  The theme Each World Environment Day is organized around a theme that draws attention to a particularly pressing environmental concern. The theme for 2019 is “Air pollution. World Environment Day promotes ways to improve the Earth's environment, such as conserving forests. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. A platform for action World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. Since it began in 1974, the event has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in the world.
