Assist honoured with OZONE Outreach Award




Assist, an Andhra Pradesh-based NGO, was honored with the prestigious OZONE Outreach Award by the South Zone Board of Continuing Education in Trichy, Tamil Nadu recently. OZONE Award was handed over to Dr.J.Ranga Rao, Founder, Director, Assist and its Additional Director, Mrs.Vishnu Pria by OZONE Director Krishnamutrhy.
This recognition highlights Assist's tireless efforts in providing impactful services in Tamil Nadu.
The award ceremony took place in Trichy, acknowledging Assist's contributions to integrated Agro-based Social Development in Manapari Taluk, Trichirapalli District. Their holistic projects in 30 villages include:
- Converting wasteland into irrigable land for enhanced food production by marginal and small farmers through organic agriculture practices.
- Promoting livelihood activities like goat rearing.
- Providing green energy solutions like solar street lights.
- Water conservation measures, including waterbody deepening.
- Improving Anganwadi infrastructure and sanitation.
- Tree plantation programs for climate change adaptation.
Their initiatives have been appreciated by local authorities and village-level committees, benefiting farmers and communities. 🌿
