Trichy District Forest Officer Ms.Kiruthika IFS launched the tree plantation program at SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary school, Pettavaithalai


as tree saplings provided by Feeding India.She was warmly welcomed by Principal Mrs.Chitra Balasubramanian and students.

DFO Ms.Kiruthika highlighted the crucial role students play in:

- Increasing green cover and biodiversity

- Environmental awareness and conservation 

- Mobilizing communities for tree planting 

She encouraged students to take ownership of environmental services and shared ideas:

- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle 

- Energy conservation 

- Climate clubs and awareness campaigns
