Mr. K. Devendran, from SEVAI, was recently honoured with the 'Environment Activist Award' by the Lions Club Trichy at SEVAI Shanthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pettavaithalai 🌿. The award recognized his efforts in promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Devendran highlighted the importance of tree plantation and environment conservation, citing benefits like carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, soil erosion prevention, and water cycle regulation 🌳. He also mentioned notable initiatives like afforestation programs, urban greening, and community-led conservation.
