SEVAI-Mahalir Thittam SHGs accorded a rousing reception to the Chief Minister Ms.J.Jayalalithaa in Allur.


Chief Minister assures SEVAI SHGs women development schemes
TIRUCHI: Around 15000 women members of Self help groups of Andanalllur block functioning under the auspicious of SEVAI, an Allur based NGO.SEVAI Mahalir Thittam accorded a rousing reception to the Chief Minister Ms.J.Jayalalithaa during her thanksgiving visit to Andanallur Block of Srirangam Assembly constituency on Monday. 2000 women dressed with their uniform saris stood both side of the road in their Allur centre of SEVAI, Vanitha, the coordinator of SEVAI SHG movement, Villuthihal handed over Terracotta Pillaiyar to Chief Minister congratulating Ms.J.Jayalaithaa for her victory from Srirangam constituency with a huge margin of votes. The members of SHGs sang an awareness song for women empowerment and Ms.Jayalalalitha thanked the Women groups and voters for their kind reception and she assured that she will implement all her promises step by step.Palaniammal of Kambarasampettai Panchayat Level Federation Leader and the SEVAI members thanked the chief Minister for enhancing the Revolving fund from Rs.60,000 to Rs.10, 000, the SHGs with one voice thanked the Chief Minister for handing over cheque for Rs.200000 for  revolving fund for two PLFs at Government function held on Sunday at Srirangam.Dr.K.Govindaraju,Founder SEVAI, handed over a shawl to Ms.J.Jayalalithaa on this occasion and congratulated her.

K.Devendran, P.Chitra, A.Pichaimanai and other key functionaries of SEVAI made elaborate arrangements for SHG convergence for greeting Chief Minister in SEVAI, Allur. Women of Self help group members with their family members and villagers stood in queues on either side of the road at Kambarasampettai, Mutharasanallur,Allur, Janathanagar,Jeeyapuram,Tiruparaithurai,Perugamani,
Kavalkaranpalayam,Arubuhalnagar,Pettaivaithalai,Devasthanam,Jeeyapuram, Periyakarrupur, Kuzhumani, Koppu, Ettarai and Somarasampettai.The school teachers and Pupils of SEVAI Shanthi School greeted Chief Minister when she crossed their Arubuhalnagar while going and returning  to her Pettavaithalai visit. Minister of Tamilnadu K. A. Sengottaiyan, Natham R. Viswanathan, N. R. Sivapathi, P. Kumar, MP, and Manohar, MLA, Alagesan, Block Secretary and Srirangam Constituency Liaison person, former MLA, Paramjothi and other party leaders accompanied the Chief Minister.
